Hello,
This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week, and I thought it would be good time to think about what
we can do for others. As ILL folk, we
all try and help our requesters find exactly what they want when they want
it. So we are experts at helping others, so how
about spreading that kindness elsewhere.
Here at the University of Winchester, we have set up a
kindness trolley. We have added some ideas for what they could do to help others. With everyone stressed
with dissertations and essays we are getting a lot of supportive messages posted. It is wonderful to see so many students
getting involved.
The website of the organization has lots of great ideas on
how to help others, but it isn’t really that hard to think of ways to make
someone’s day better. Even a “How are
you doing” that you actually mean and actively listening, can really make someone feel
better. We don’t need to wait for this
week to come around every year for us to practice kindness, but it is a good
reminder! Try it and you might end up
making it a habit!
So keep on doing a great job ILL teams! You Rock!
